I'd say if you're the author, then no signed-off is necessary. It might be nice to have it if you're committing on behalf of someone else though. I'll address this in the contributing documentation when I update it, thanks for bringing it up.

I'm going to be re-writing the README to actually be a good front page for Telodendria at some point in the future, but I'll merge this just for practice 😉
